Setup guide

Change your home app

Whether you are making Flashlight Magnifier your home app for the first time or going back to the one you had before, it is the same four taps in Android settings.

  1. Step 1

    Open Settings on your phone

    The grey cog icon. It is usually on the home screen or in the app list.

  2. Step 2

    Find Apps, then Default apps

    On some phones this is under General management, or you can type "default" into the search box at the top of Settings.

  3. Step 3

    Tap Home app

    Some phones call this "Home screen app" or just "Launcher".

  4. Step 4

    Choose the launcher you want

    Pick Flashlight Magnifier Launcher to use it, or pick your old launcher to go back. The change happens straight away.

Android Settings looks a little different on every make of phone, so the wording above may not match yours exactly. The order of the steps is the same on all of them.

A shortcut. If Flashlight Magnifier is already your home app, open its side menu and tap "Revert home app". That takes you straight to this setting without going through Settings yourself.
