Setup guide

Change your search engine

The search bar at the bottom of the home screen can use whichever search engine you prefer. Changing it takes three taps and nothing else on your phone is affected.

  1. Step 1

    Press and hold an empty part of the home screen

    Somewhere with no app icon on it. Hold for about a second, until the screen shrinks slightly and a menu appears.

  2. Step 2

    Tap Home Settings

    It appears at the bottom of the screen alongside Wallpaper and Widgets.

  3. Step 3

    Choose your search engine under Search

    Pick the one you want. The search bar on the home screen starts using it immediately, and you can come back and change it again at any time.

If you cannot find an empty spot to hold, try the area just above the search bar, below the last row of icons.

Changing the search engine here only affects the search bar on the Flashlight Magnifier home screen. Your browser keeps whatever search engine it was already set to.
